The mathematics program helps students develop the mathematical literacy essential to productive citizenship in a scientific and technological society. Students continue to develop specific skills and strategies for matematical problem solving. These skills and strategies are applied as part of the consolidation of concepts and skills of the real number system and measurement, and the development of introductory algebra, geometry and bacis statistics.

The grade 9 math course consists of ten units of different lengths and values:

1. Square Roots & Surface Area (~3 weeks)
2. Powers & Exponent Laws (~3 weeks)
3. Rational Numbers (~4 weeks)
4. Linear Relations (~4 weeks)
5. Polynomials (~3 weeks)
6. Linear Equations & Inequalities (~4 weeks)
7. Similarity & Transformations (~4 weeks)
8. Circle Geometry (~3 weeks)
9. Probability & Statistics (~2 weeks)
